44 y.o. mother of 2, stay at home mom. Never lost the extra weight (20lbs) after my second child (6 years ago). I love to work out and always have, especially kickboxing and rollerblading. it's the bad eating that's my downfall. I love this diet so far, even though the results are slow compared to some other diets.

Just found this site today!
Well, there's something about the book that's very motivational: unlike other diet books, you tend to want to read it cover to cover. I would say the two main ideas I got from the book are 1: eat small, healthy meals/snacks all day, don't let youself go more than 3 hours - that keeps your metabolism up. and 2. The U-Turn concept.ie. If you give in and have a cookie, just "make a U-turn" and get back on track. You haven't ruined the diet, or ruined your eating for the day, just stop. So often women feel so much guilt when they "cheat" that they say, oh, forget it I'll start again tomorrow and eat badly the rest of the day. Good luck!

Any suggestions?
I've been on the diet for 2 weeks and have only lost 2 1/2 lbs, while I see others have lost 10 in that time. Here are my suspicions: I missed several days of walking, I don't drink enough water, and i like my foods salty...I also have a glass of red wine with dinner_ do you think that's it? Any tips would be appreciated!
