Hello, I am a baby boomer, and when I was young I was athletic, I ran, I was limber and did back flips, I played all sports, I just loved being active. Now I am older, fat, I have recently been diagnoised with diabetes, and high blood pressure, SCARED ME! I am about 100 pounds overweight...eeeegads! (I said it out loud) I do nothing for excercise, I work setting at a desk and on a computer most of the day. I just joined weight watchers for about the 20th time, and this time am determined to follow through. I always get to a point and say, I can't afford this, and I can do this on my own...bolderdash, I can't do it on my own. I need help...I was very happy to find this outlet, and look forward to exchanging ideas with you. All the best to all of us! shirlv

I'm over 60 and 100 pounds overweight...eeeegads!
I am now 60, and I just signed up for weight watchers AGAIN, this time determined to lose my weight and be healthier, I kick myself over, and over, because I have been talking about losing weight for 30 years, and I have tried so many diets...I gave up obviously on all of them...BUT, this time I am in for the long haul, and I plan on being a weight watcher for life now...eventually being a lifetime member. I need all of you and together we can do it. I started at 240 lbs, and am now 236 lbs, tomorrow is my weigh in and I am hoping I lost several pounds, because I stated pretty much on my points this week, and I walked on my tread mill for 1/2 hour for 5 days. Wish me luck...and together we'll all be thinner and healthier before too long...Laughing Smile Very Happy

Over 50 with same 60 lbs
I'm 60 with 100 pounds to lose, taking diabete pills, and high blood pressure pills but only for a short time now...I want to get off these medications...Crying or Very sad Let's all pull together and lose...go girls go!Laughing

My weigh in tonight...
Hi...it sounds like your doing all the right things...just don't give up, and it will all come together if you just keep on going!Smile I haven't been under 200 pounds in over 20 years...eeeegads! NOW I am really trying to do it, I need to know that if you continue doing whats right with eating, (weight watchers way of life)that it works...so please continue without desperation and get below 200 so that will help me and tell me...I CAN DO IT TOO! I need your help! all the best, shirlv
