What can I say in my Bio? I'm 51 years old...have been overweight for about 25 years....I was never skinny even in High School...but wasn't really overweight. I have never been one to exercise much...although I was active when I was younger. Last 15 years have been slowing down...work and all and not doing much physical activity...it caught up with me. In July 2010 I descided enough was enough so I started on the Wii fit...Yoga, balancing, stretching...I had a sciatic nerve problem in my left leg...also High Blood Pressure...this thing called Mitral Valve blocage...anyway...wasn't feeling good. Now 3 months a little more later not much pain in the leg...the blood pressure is under control...I have increased exercise as I have felt better..walking, stationary bike for about 3 weeks ....Aerobics...I have a Shake Weight exercise I do every day for my arms and abs...also have the exercise ball that I' using for toning...I like that.

Fat feeling softer?
I would rather have a little looss skin than the fat bulging (lol) I have been doing exercise at the same time since I started my diet plan...so it's not bad...I've lost 35lbs and still working on more. I am finding that I need to step up the exercise. I do about 6 miles a day on my stationary bike...I was walking more, but since the weather colded down and it gets dark earlier I'm not doing that as much. I use a Wii fit for exercise...has Yoga, Aerobic, Strengthing....now that I have memorized the exercise I do it without the Wii a lot of times...and whenever I have a moment I do some of the steps. I have a core training ball which I have found is great for the arms and thighs...I was wondering what Brenda does for building muscle?

What if my NET is more than 500
First what is the RDI saying? Second, I think that diet and exercise is the only way. Also, it is what you eat...I am trying to pick healthier choices...even if I am allowed 1200 calories...I make sure that these are high proteins (as much as possible) low fat of course and sodium. I am picking leaner meats...chicken and turkey mostly...and just control the portions.....and supplement when I feel the craving with foods that are easier to burn off and better for you. I realize fiber is very important now...don't know why I didn't know that before and I'm 51 years old...
