Hello, this is my first time on a page like this. Most of my life I have NOT had a weight problem. But I did have a self image problem and never appreciated my size when it came easy. After my father past away 10 years ago I turned to food. I gave up exercise, nutrition, weight training, everything that was active. This year I reached what would be my limit, "and thank god I had a limit", of 159 pounds. That was alot for someone who never had a problem! Truth is, I knew I was at the point of either I giving up and letting all hope go of getting fit again, or find some way to change my very stuck lifestyle. My daughter started the Atkins and encouraged me to give it a go. I have been diagnosed with chronic acid reflux and crohns and feeling very sick. Lots of body pain. I had to do something. Since Dec 1, 2011 when I started I have lost 19 pounds. My symptoms have improved significantly. I learned what foods I am sensitive too. I have become an fabulous cook with these low carb recipes! They are easy and taste better than most restaurants because our taste buds change and we appreciate real food rather than fast food!My husband joined a month after me and lost 30 pounds. We look great and feel great. Now I plan to lose 8 more but also plan to rejoin my gym and start to build some muscle. My daughter has lost 44 and her husband 26! She has started a revolution against fat! I am excited that my sister joined 3 days ago and hope she will sign up on this to get as much support as possible. I can't wait to hear her excitement grow. I am very happy with the results of this diet and feel surprised that the scales continue to decrease. This is not a diet to me anymore, it is my lifestyle. I honestly feel better in my body now than I have ever in my life. Good luck to everyone!
