losing 1.4 lb a week

I haven’t weighed in, in quite a while! I was a bit nervous to after holiday craziness. I still stayed very mindful of portion sizes, but absolutely didn’t deny myself of anything ☺️❤️ I still want to lose another 5-7 lbs, but I’m so so happy with my maintenance and lifestyle! I saw my adult daughter over Christmas for the first time in over 2 years(thanks to Covid!!). I was nearly 40 lbs heavier when she saw me last. She’s seen me at 105 and she’s seen and 165 and all areas in between. She said “mom!! I’ve never seen you look healthier than you do right now!” and I love that she said “healthier”, not “thinner”. I feel healthy. Inside and out. I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season ❤️❤️

gaining 0.0 lb a week

I need some advice, FSF! So, I’m pretty much in maintenance phase (although I’m hoping to shed another 5-7 lbs over time)— I haven’t altered my WOE much at all, other than adding in a few more carbs overall. My problem is that whenever I eat bread or pasta, I wake up the next day soooo bloated and my body aching in all my joints. It can take a couple days for this to go away. It’s absolutely miserable! I do fine with sweet potatoes and even regular potatoes if steamed. Also anything too high in sugar (like a scoop of ice cream) makes me hurt all over the next day. What is happening??

Even though I hate seeing it go up, even a little, I’m still happy! I’ve been doing great maintaining between 127 and 130–with 130 being my max allowed (because I replaced my whole wardrobe and cannot afford to grow out of it lol!!). I haven’t made significant changes to my diet for maintenance, other than allowing one higher carb meal on weekends (like my favorite pizza or dessert). Since this journey has actually been more about changing my lifestyle overall, I’ve just naturally developed a craving for “cleaner” meals while also not depriving myself of a treat if I desire one. Everything in moderation! I’m a bit dehydrated right now and retaining water, so I expect that in the next day or two, I’ll be back around 128 which is where I feel the most comfortable in all ways— mentally, physically, energy, how my clothes fit, etc. This has been a long journey of self accountability for me and I just want to say to anyone struggling: stick with it!! The fluctuations happen and don’t let them discourage you into binging. Love your body during all the phases because that is what has allowed me to finally SEE and be satisfied with where I am now. Body dysmorphia is very real and a daily battle, but sometimes I just have to stand in front of the mirror and look only for the parts of me I love—and some days it feels like a “fake it til you make it” thing. ❤️

Red potatoes, smoked sausage, fried egg, sharp cheddar. My Sunday homemade breakfast. Couldn’t even put a dent in it, but it was relish! Still maintaining between 127-129. Feeling great!!
