I am a happily retired computer geek and systems engineer. I have mild type 2 diabetes that is responding well to diet and exercise. I am down from 196 lbs a few years ago to 150 now, and just maintaining for the past six months. My diet strategy is to avoid almost all fast food, avoid sweets, and limit fats and carbs, and do moderate exercise daily. I am very pleased with the fatsecret website and the tools and capabilities to track activity and caloric intake.
