Hi,

I am a 37 year old mother of two teenagers. I recently retired my career as a nurse to start an independent career as a cosmetologist. I have been overweight most of my life. I struggle with high cholesterol, and hypothyroidism. I lost 54 pounds about three years and manage to keep all but 15 pounds off. Now, I am going to try to get these last 40 pounds off, but, this time, goin to try to do it the healthy way. I am not viewing it as a diet any longer, but, rather, a way of living. I have been able to maintain a low fat lifestyle for over a year now, and with that decreased my cholesterol 63 points. Now, to add calorie and carb management on top of the low fat way of life, and get the rest of the weight off.

Thoughts on Kashi frozen meals?
I've tried three different kinds of the Kashi, but, the southwest style chicken is the only one I like so far and it only has one gram of fat. I am going to try the other if I can find it. Our Walmart only offers a few varieties of the Kashi. I didn't know the other flavors existed until I researched it online.

Thoughts on Kashi frozen meals?
I've never heard of that brand. Are they also organic? I like the Kashi Southwest Style Chicken. It's not Mexican fajitas by far, but I can tolerate it, lol.

Thoughts on Kashi frozen meals?
I was wondering if anyone has had any long term experience with replacing a meal with Kashi's frozen meals? I have been thinking of trying them for a quick lunch at work. What are your thoughts

Losing weight- why am I angry?
Lorie,

I completely understand your feelings. I was so angry this morning while struggling to get my run in for the day that I was in tears! I get so angry with the situation. It seems like such a hopeless cause!
I guess that just goes with the struggle of it all. The only way I manage to complete my run this morning was to pray over it. I know that sounds weird but, I keep telling myself that I can do this through Christ that stengthens me.

Hang in there, and keep pushing through! It will be worth it all in the end!

Water----When is too much?? And what about juices?
I was watching Doctors the other day and they were discussing the whole water thing. He said people are often misinformed about water. He said the body should have 64 ounces of water a day but it isn't about drinking 64 ounces of water. He said that number included the water in our foods, and other drinks. Just saying.....
