The confusing matter of rice
I would have said the opposite as the original reply. To always weigh your rice before cooking, since the longer you cook rice, the more water it will retain, the heavier and more voluminous it will be, so depending on the texture you cook your rice, it will be a different size. Also because in my experience, the rice I buy has nutritional information listed per amount of dry goods. So I guess if you want to be most accurate, go by the package of what you are using.

However, there are lots of foods you should weigh/measure after cooking for the same reason, since you are decreasing the amount of water in most meat/vegetables.

item not in menu
Try typing in the search for food box, the copy food link at the bottom will change to "add new food" you should then get a prompt to add new food to the database

CORRECTING AN ENTRY?
Lots of people have looked at your post, but no one has answered you. I think this is maybe because you are directing people to look at your page, but you have your settings so only your friends can open your diary. So I will try to answer what I think you are asking:

If you've entered a food item and then realize it is incorrect, you can either hit the x beside it to delete it and start over, or click on the entry, if you're using a computer and not the app there is a yellow box on the right, the bottom line has a box you can type in to change the amount and a second drop down box to change the serving measurement. The app has a similar feature, I just don't have my phone right now to describe it.

Vegan Protein Alternatives and Recipes for Vegetarians-without Protein Powder
If you're ok with rice products, check the asian/ethnic section of your grocery store for vermicelli noodles or rice stick noodles. They're sooooooooo easy to make too. Just boil some water, reduce to simmer before dropping them in and they're done in 5 minutes. Then check beside where you got those to find lots of suitable flavors like soy, sesame, teriyaki.... My bulk barn also sells a dozen kinds of pasta in bulk, can't say I'm a fan of the lentil based one and the "all vegetable fusilli" contains wheat, (pretty sure it's just regular tri-colored pasta,) but they also sell some really great packaged rice noodles that come in different flavors and made from different kinds of rice, in case you're looking to switch it up

I like to add fat free soy milk to a lot of my recipes, 1 cup is 70 calories and has 7g of protein

zucchini also has almost as much protein as broccoli, I have a cheap little spiralizer ($5), I make lots of veggies into noodles with it. Sometimes I mix zucchini noodles and rice noodles together. I use this for pastas or salads.

Do chickpeas bother you as much as other beans? Especially if you buy the dried ones then soak overnight and rinse before use? Because there's tons of chickpea pancakes/burger/falafel/hummus/curry recipes out there

Mushrooms are pretty close to the best low-calorie, high-protein foods you can get. 1g of protein worth of mushrooms is only going to cost you 8 calories.

Cauliflower is also good for protein, 1 cup of cauliflower is 25 calories and 2g of protein. Today I made a pizza, with crust made of cauliflower, spinach, pea protein and egg. Kinda did my own thing, and need to tweak, so I won't share my process, but there are tons of recipes online for cauliflower/kale/spinach pizza crust. After you bake the crust, top with tomato paste, your toppings of choice, cheese if you can, otherwise something else to hold everything on, maybe an avocado dressing? and bake again to toast the toppings

I often throw spinach or kale in my cooking, anything with a dark green color is a safe bet it's got protein and fiber.

I myself am not vegan, but I do try to eat clean, whole foods, or live foods as you put it. Hope I gave you some ideas!

Setting a limits for my macros

I disagree. 500 calories of ice cream is not the same as 500 calories of chicken salad. Until I hit my goal weight, I was more focused on creating a calorie deficit. Now, I am on a high protein, reduced calorie diet, while weight lifting, so that when I build up and lose weight at the same time, I am doing so more efficiently and not losing the muscle. I am finding the extra features in this app much more useful now that I am losing only 1 or 2 pounds a month than when I was losing that in a week and the changes are much more visible, because I am conscious of my macros.
