Just for reference I'm a 6'6" Male. I think to myself all the time when I see the various goals, "I wonder how tall that person is". Mu goal of 205 pounds makes much more sense at 6'6" than it would at 5'0"! ;-)

After I pay the $50, at the end of the 8 week session, I can buy it for $160, so I am not sure if that is considered a discount! I do get the arm band and they wante me to wear it continuously the entire eight weeks. I am just wondering how it measures calories burned when resting, when people always say my heart rate monitor doesn't. When I wear my heart rate monitor all day, it does show I am burning calories, but others have told me they don't really work for that.. My heart rate monitor shows all calories burned while I am working out for sure. I have had several people tell me if I wear the heart rate monitor all day, I can't really count those 'sitting, resting' type calories as it isn't accurate. I tried looking on the polar website and couldn't find it there either. I started adding all my exercise in as OTHER, then put in what my heart rate monitor says I burned for that particular workout because the FS calories burned seems overstated to me.
I agree that FS seems to over estimate calories burned. Also, on the BodyBugg, my wife has the Bodymedia GoFit which is the same hardware as BodyMedia makes both, but they have different software. She loves hers and I have to agree whole heartedly with

that you really want to get the display so you can see the numbers as you go so you can make sure you're on course for the day without having to try to make time to upload the data several times a day.

HFCS Changing It's Name
I'm with you guys on HFCS and farm subsidies. HFCS has already been reclassified as "Natural" by the FDA even though there is absolutely no way it can occur in nature without man made enzymes or acid treatment of processed corn!
Also, I noticed someone mention cough syrup... on a side note, the FDA is considering requiring you to have a prescription to buy it now because people abuse it...

My condolences on Brett Favre un-retiring yet again.
I'm going to faithfully pull for the Arizona Cardinals as usual but I'm not expecting much this year. I like the idea of doing a push up for every offensive yard your team gets. I think I might be able to manage that for the Cardinals as well!
LOL, yeah without Warner its shouldn't be too difficult
Why didn't your coach send three guys to kidnap Kurt?
Hey man, Kurt is got important stuff to do. He's going to be on
Dancing with Stars
which means that my wife is going to make me watch every episode until he gets eliminated!

Diet Snobbery- Anyone else notice this?

never said i want to be a body builder and i don't eat 8 thousand Kals a day either I'm simply stating I have used their principles all my adult life and they work. It's allot better than eating 700 Kals a day then crying about how hungry you are and then making excuses why you had a "spike day" and blew up your diet. BTW spike day is a term body builders came up with as they go lo carb (150 200 gr a day ) for a few days then have a SPIKE day where they go with about 300- 400 gr of carbs to reset there systems so there body don't start hording their carbs and turning it to fat. A spike day isn't i messed up my diet so I just claim I had a "spike day" to fell good about myself. If you don't eat enough and exercise your setting yourself up for failure period.
lol, I agree with all of that but would still appreciate a little punctuation!
I use a spike day as part of zig zag caloric intake. It's not a mess up day there either. It's a planned day where you intentionally increase your caloric intake to keep your body from getting into too much of a routine. Same principle as varying your exercise regimen to maximize both burn and after-burn. Although, now I'm getting ready to hit maintenance so I'll stop spike days and generally be increasing across the board as I shift from weight loss to strength training.
