Sixty-one year retired Corrections Administrator. Have had heart disease and diabetes for 20 years. Gained a lot of weight in the last 5 years along with becoming a couch potato. Got to where I didn't want to walk to the edge on my property. That changed this year with a new Diabetic Dr. I weighed 316 lbs last August and on 7-30-08 I weighed 223.6 lbs. I also now walk 5 to 8 miles 7 days a week. I now need to start a life-style change that will maintain my weight when I reach a BMI of under 25 or 190lbs, which ever comes first. I have been on a low carb regime for the last year did not eat enough protein or salads.
