I've put on nearly three stone in three years. I'm not exactly sure why, but diet and exercise have certainly got a lot to do with it! I'm no longer blaming it on the menopause, I've got to take responsibility and start looking after myself.
I'm aiming for a slow, steady loss of 1lb per week, eating well rather than eating less. I like my food and I don't want to feel like I'm depriving myself, but I'm determined to go down the healthy route.
I'm not following a particular diet, I want to give my body what it needs so I'm aiming for a bit of everything healthy, and the tiniest amount of anything rubbish.
I'm mostly pescatarian, but I will eat game occasionally if it has been killed locally. I don't eat much dairy, but I will have goat's cheese from the local farm shop quite regularly.
This is the first time I've seriously tried to diet, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be any good at it, but I'll give it a serious go, because I'm getting too old to let my health slide any further.
