I am a 31 year old Opera Singer who is in dire need of loosing weight. I have tried so many things and keep coming back with more and more weight. I started out at 410lbs and am trying very hard to get down to a normal size. Unfortunately, the image of the overweight opera singer is history and these days directors look for the best singers in the most beautiful packages. I have the voice but the rest of the package is not there. So, hopefully weight watchers will do the trick!

First Week of WW
Shin splints suck! I get those too and the only thing that has saved me is going to my local Fleet Feet store (check your are for one, I think the website is fleetfeet.com) and they gave me some special insoles that help against shin splints. I got a new pair of shoes there too, but be prepared to pay a lot of money for them. I reasoned the expense because I walk a lot and won't lose weight if I don't have the right gear to do it. Any runners shoe store that fits the shoes to your feet should be able to help you out! I hope that helped!

Anyone lost or trying to lose 75+ pounds?????
I started off August 1st at 410lbs and have lost 79lbs so far. Granted, I have a long way to go, but it's a few steps in the right direction!

sleeping horrible since started dieting & exercising why???????
Well everyone already said what I would have! In addition, if you think you really need a sleep aid, I would go with over the counter Melatonin. It's a sleep aid that does not make you all groggy when you take it, the only thing that I have noticed is that I do have to lay down twenty minutes after taking it so that I can relax and fall asleep. I used to take rx medication to fall asleep, but now I only need an occasional melatonin and I am good to go. I hope you sleep better soon!

Low points foods
Hmm let's see..there are always Progresso soups that have 0 or 1 point per serving that you can get. Those are always nice and filling! Load up on veggies too you can eat a bunch of them for low points, also very lean meats are good and if you are like me and LOVE sandwiches you can get some dense bread with loads of fiber in it (at Kroger's they have some Dimpfelmeiers bread that makes you feel really full for a long time). http://www.dimpflmeierbakery.com/
Also, look at the recipe section here on FS! There are a lot of great recipes that have been sorted by points so you know what you are eating. I hope that helped!
