I'm a 30 year old insurance agent in south Georgia. My weight has taken off (Up unfortunately!) the past 8 years or so. My goal is to get back down to my old school weight of around 220. Into all the typical southern guy things here...hunting, fishing, canoeing, camping, name it. Sad part is, most of that stuff doesn't do much for exercise. My typical night involves plopping down in the recliner and watching tv or playing video games. I've had success with Atkins in the past but have always converted back to my old eating habits. This time I'm ready for LIFESTYLE change! Bring on the new me!

Dr. Atkins says if you're hungry, EAT. If you feel hungry, eat something. Grab a piece of beef jerky or a string cheese.

I've found that drinking water full time helps with the hunger though. I'm full on water nearly all day and nearly have to force myself to eat.

Didn't get enough of my water intake today
If Dr. Atkins didn't write the new book, I don't wanna fool with it. Notice how the Atkins International group that bought his company after his death went nearly belly-up. They focus too much on their packaged products etc...whereas Dr. Atkins focused on eating whole foods.

Thanks for clarifying Denise. Guess I need to break back out my Atkins' New Diet Revolution book for a refresher course.

Denise is exactly right. During induction, we're limited to just 3 artificial sweetners/day. Afterwards, you can have more, but the Crystal Light or whatever does not make up for the water. You still need your 64oz or more of WATER per day.
