36 yo, live in las vegas, representative helping people get social security disability. can be quite stressful at times, working a lot of hours sometimes. have some depression, tend to be an emotional eater and do okay during the day but binge at night.

had daughter in 1999, lost about 40 lbs, down to 210 (pre preg was 180), then just ballooned right up. went to 299. lost weight down to 259 with exercise/diet (felt like I was killing myself to do that). then gained some back to 280.

tried weight watchers, not my thing . . . i know how to eat, doing it is a whole nother story.

i know i should exercise (have yoga mats, weights, elliptical machine, bowflex machine, physical therapy ball, My Fitness Coach for the Wii but again DOING it is the problem. Hate exercising, will just have to grin and bear that.

Currently on phentermine with TrimCare/Ivan Goldstein MD, in vegas. & using the Food Lovers for Fat Loss eating plan. (not diet!)

Hoping just to get to 180 and feel somewhat normal and clothes for "women" suck. HAVE TO DO THIS this time or I give up! (& that is not really an option.)

I am so happy to finally find a program that:

includes EVERYTHING!
finally someone who knows about the glycemic LOAD! & boosting
& gives a very specific eating schedule for different exercise schedules
& doesn't label foods good and bad.
& addresses the motivational issue & that we may know what to do but have trouble DOING it
& the program is reasonable
& doesn't ask people to make 5 million changes all at one time.
& Robert is not charging people an arm and a leg & you can buy it on a payment plan
& not trying to sell you a bunch of other crap, actually just trying to help people.
& that you eat real food, not pre-packaged junk.
& good for diabetics and vegetarians, and your kids and your spouse (even if they don't know it! - nothing special for you & something different for everyone else)

So happy to finally find a program where I agree with absolutely EVERYTHING in it and can therefore feel like I can TRUST everything I'm told in the program. (especially when it comes to the snacks where I would be the most leery) & it's NOT A DIET!

This kit includes EVERYTHING - I did not see one component missing. He even includes a workout video. The only other stuff I had to buy was a timer to keep me on track and the stuff for the detox. (& the detox is optional)

How often do you weigh yourself?
i was obssessively weighing myself. & i'd always get stuck at a certain weight. because psychologically i'd think oh i'm doing good, i can eat! so i decided that when i was getting to be around that number I would NOT weigh myself for 3 weeks. that worked b/c when i got back on the scale I was FINALLY below the number I have always gotten stuck at and now have been able to keep dropping.

Gaining weight with exercise
i was losing 2 lbs a week before i started exercising this week and this week i gained 1.6 lbs. didn't change my eating pattern. i understand the gain muscle, lose fat concept but how long does it take before weight loss shows up on the scale? i will give it a month but i feel like i will start to get discouraged after that. Shock

I've been have a hard time sticking to my diet Help!
i keep glucerna shakes handy. 200 cal, tastes pretty good, and the sugar impact is only 1 gram. helps when i get too busy at work and don't have time to eat. $10 for 6 at Fresh & Easy. yep. otherwise I end up eating junk and spend way too much money!
