Body weight vs body fat %
@dehahaha: Wow! You look ready for that Men's Health cover already!! That is AWESOME!!!

@PJinSC and dehahaha: I agree 100% because one of my closest friends feels really bad about her weight (not far behind mine) and just a little taller; especially when the last time she weighed as much she was pregnant but we do not look the same because her little guy has been in school for the past couple years so she works out regularly on top of her full-time job so most of that "extra" weight is muscle but she just looks at the scale and groans!

I finally ordered a scale online yesterday so I can also look forward to Monday morning weigh-ins; after being obsessed with my weight 10 years ago, I stopped weighing myself except in Doctors offices so it is very sporadic (weekly visits during pregnancy though) and my hubby is the same way. When you have a scale, it is harder for the weight to sneak up on you as long as you just weigh yourself weekly and not in a daily obsessive way unless you just completed a specific challenge, marathon, fast or specific event that can make your weight drop quickly.

I credit dehahaha with inspiring me to go ahead and get a top notch scale that the whole family can use which is also great for monitoring my son's desired weight gain; he is in the 75th percentile and obviously inherited his Dad's incredible metabolism Smile in addition to burning calories like crazy almost faster than he can replace them during this increasingly mobile, super active phase as he transitions from infant to toddler!! At least he only eats organic everything: fruits, veggies, whole grain, protein, dairy plus drinks lots of water and breast milk so he is getting a terrific start to what will hopefully be a lifelong healthy lifestyle Smile

Body weight vs body fat %
The details of your personal fitness and health journey appear honest and are indeed inspiring, pictures are however worth a thousand words Smile I completely agree with what you say in terms of fat weight loss vs. muscle gain which appears the same on the scale but does not look or feel the same. In my case, I cannot get back to working out as yet because I have an infant and we have a no babysitter/ no daycare and no close friends or relatives living nearby with whom we can entrust our son which means I am responsible for keeping a close eye on my very active and very mobile son 24/7 for the next couple years, limits my activities in/out of the home until he starts Pre-school. Would love to see a before and after picture which can of course be followed by another one once you have achieved the perfect weight/body fat/muscle ratios. Smile
