Hello everyone, I started on Atkins March, 2011. At that time I weighed 240 pounds. I have lost 41 pounds since starting Atkins. I am 60 years old.

I am a yo-yo dieter. I have never tried diet gimmicks. Whenever I make up my mind that it's time to lose some of myself I always use Atkins way of eating.

In 1973 I did go to Weight Watchers when I found out I was expecting my second son. I weighed less the day he was born that I did when I found out I was pg. My doctor told me I was pre-diabetic and that if I didn't get on a healthy diet I would need insulin before the baby was born.

My second son was born perfect. I ate so much better for him than I did for my first one. When one is young one is dumb.

In 2002 I got up to my highest weight. At 260, and having to pull myself up the stairs to my bedroom, I knew if I wanted to live I had to lose, so lose I did. I lost down to 148. I think I weighed 148 for about 2 days!

Fast-forward to March 2011 and I was up to at least 240. I could hardly walk a few steps without my heart burning. My blood sugar was totally out of control. I had turned into a recluse.

Today at 198 I feel there is still hope for me.
And I know Atkin's is my way to lose again.

In 2002 I did not know Atkins had a web site for support from folks in my shoes. I don't feel alone today in my journey to a healthy me!!!

Today I am not using insulin and I feel better than I have since 2008. Maybe, just maybe, I have one more chance to lose and live.

I have tried to correct my starting weight and my lost weight to date. So far I can't figure out how to change it.

In March,2011 I weighed 240. I have lost to 198.
