Hello . . . My name is Louise and I'm a wife, mother, & grandmother. 56 years of food abuse has sent me to this web site looking for help and recipes. I work in a busy kitchen where tasting food is part of my job (the best part!) I have a Canaan Dog who just loves to walk with me but I live in Maine so soon the snow and winds will reduce me to exercising indoors. My workplace has a gym complete with weight room where I can go in the winters to get exercise if I can't walk outdoors.
My son and daughter-in-law have completed the 6 weeks Abs Diet and have both lost weight, inches & sizes. They also commented on how much healthier they feel. I guess I just need to get some healthy habits into my life. H-E-L-P!

Traveling Tips?
The last time I strayed while dieting was because of a traveling excursion I had to attend for work (3 days). I was unprepared for snacking. Meals can be compiled with items usually offered but snacks at conferences are often carb & sugar laden. Does anyone have any tips? I want to be prepared for the next trip.Question Question

Snack Ideas???
Does anyone have any good snack ideas?
I've done the almonds & dried fruit, carrot sticks with peanut butter, & smoothies . . . trying to keep this way of eating interesting by incorporating variety and would love to hear about other snack combinations.

Arrow When you're right, you're right! Had a photo of my dog instead of me . . . went looking for a recent photo and found this one from visiting my grandchildren in July. It shows my fat tummy quite nicelyWink

any one else doing the "abs diet for women"?

I guess I just need to get some healthy habits into my life. H-E-L-P! I started the Abs Diet on 10/28/07 and lost 3 pounds the first week. I bought the book on Ebay and started the diet the day after the book showed up. I need to lose at least 75 pounds.Evil or Very Mad
