I am a 57 year old married male that moved from Huntington Beach, CA. I started out at 155 (army vet, German beer). Moved to Lincoln, NE were in a few months I went up to 225. Now at 180 when I found this site, great site, the way for me is simple, portion size, right foods, and exercise. See simple, I just have to keep it going! I have been into nutrition for the past 15 years but this is the "mid-west".
I think healthy foods don't have to be bad for you, we have gotten to used to processed foods, "quick and easy". Home made if almost as fast and better for you, also once a week a small treat is OK. This is what I have found anyway.
