Start Weight
269.0 lb
Lost so far: 45.0 lb

Current Weight
224.0 lb
Performance: losing 0.3 lb a week

Goal Weight
147.0 lb
Still to go: 77.0 lb
I have 2 dogs and walking them is my only exercise - live in East Anglia region of the UK - listen to music of any kind but prefer Blues or Classical - read when ever I get time and carry my 'Kindle' every where with me - I ride motorbikes, drive and love being in my workshop (my parents always thought I should have been a boy!!)
Holidays are spent in our caravan where ever we choose in the UK - my partner does not drive (He sticks to his motorbike and sidecar) which means the towing is down to me - so keep off the road in June - only joking I have not hit anything Yet
I work nights - which is a bit of a problem as I don't sleep a lot, average 5hrs, this means I am awake and able to eat for a lot longer than the average person and it is this that has helped me to pile on the pounds.
but not anymore I refuse to be Fat and Sixty so I have just over a year to get it under control and I will just watch this space :-]

RDI ?
I was also a bit confused about RDI - but it seems you decide what is your ideal wieght i.e 140lb then times it by your exercise level, 15 for low, 17 for medium and 20 for very active so if not active 140lb would need 2100 calories to maintain the weight - so if you think it's high check what you put in as your target/ideal weight - good luck

Buddy needed
Hi, I'm looking a buddy to share the angst with - I not a cook so there won't be loads of recipes, but if you have a sense of humour and like music, motorbikes, dogs and beer and maybe a good moan about the 'Him in Doors' get in touch
We might not be the fastest weight losers but we will be amongst the happiest

Hello
I have just joined and have been slowly loosing weight since Feb 2010 but I am finding it very hard to keep motivated as I have so much to lose started at 269lb and needed to loose 119lb at least - I have lost 42lb but still have 77lb to go - reading how others are coping will help and maybe I can help someone else on the way Very Happy

The calories out doesn't seem to make sense...
I was just starting to think I must be really daft as I was confused about BMI's, BMR's and all the rest Sad so I went to www.wieghtlossforlife.com and the penny dropped Surprised all I needed to do was multiply the weight I would like to get back to by either 15,17 or 20 depending on my activity level so 15 it was and Fatsecret was only 5 calories out - I might even get the Wii fit out Shock - well soon anyway
