My weight has always fluctuated, because I love food too much! But I've always been able to maintain a size 4-6. Slowly that creeped up to a size 8. So... I began going to the gym daily over my lunch break. Just as I was beginning to create a routine... SURPRISE! I'm pregnant. I continued with the gym about a week until debilitating day-long morning sickness crept in. By the time it was over, I was over working out. I stayed on track health-wise throughout my pregnancy until 6 or 7 months in when I just became too hungry. I'd have dinner, then seconds, then top it off with two huge bowls of cereal or a PB&J sandwich. I was just too hungry and too-bored with my newly deprived social life. Then comes the most handsome baby boy you've ever seen in the middle of a December snowstorm. I had nothing to do all day long but stay inside, care for a newborn, breastfeed and eat. Repeat. Couple all of this with total lack of sleep due to breastfeeding on demand and therein lay my problem. While I immediately dropped 20 of the 43 lbs I gained... I only dropped 5 more lbs over the ensuing 6 months. While I changed my diet a bit over this time, it certainly wasn't enough to make a difference. So, I bought new clothes to hold me over and staree longingly into my closet, just wishing so badly I could fit into my old, sleek work dresses, play dresses, whatever!
ANYWAY. I'm tired of being fat and still appearing to be 20 weeks pregnant. It's not me. Time to lose 20-25 lbs!
