Been experimenting with Indian and Thai cuisine....thank God for spices! Also, been using popcorn as my go to snack when struck with a craving for a different taste....salads can be so boring. ALso, made a fruit smoothie for "treats." Still haven't made any soups....too hot for that. Enjoyed eating out at Ruby Tuesdays this past weekend - they have an endless salad bar that's always stocked with awesome options. :)

Even though I splurged last night on Indian (the auto-fill "enter food" didn't list it so I got a reasonable substitute I figured), I did not gain weight - didn't lose any either - but I'm not alarmed because I don't want to lose so much so fast anyway. What I found before when I did a liquid diet for like 3 weeks...after an inital drop in 4-5 pounds, my body would literally weigh the same number on the digital scale for 2-3 three days in a row. How that's possible, I don't know - perhaps the scale is faulty? AT any rate, still committed to coping with the new Vegetarian lifestyle. Looking forward to learning some recipes.

Yesterday I had popcorn because I was dying for some variety...it apparently didn't completely sabotage my efforts but I will try to be more controlled next time a craving hits.
I am finding ONLY veggies/fruits boring. I will be looking at the recipes Fuhrman has in the book 'cuz plain steamed veggies and heaping salads with little to no dressing are getting "old." I'm actually eager to try out a stew or soup recipe. Will go shopping for ingredients today if the car cooperates.

Since around the 10th, I've really been following the all veggies/fruit while I finish off left-over yogurts/salmon I'm not surprised at 2 pound loss by today. I hope now that I'm squarely on the diet (exception today was 1 Gr. yogurt I forgot about and one salmon fillet I will have tomorrow)I will continue to lose steadily.
Can honestly say that it's HARD to consume 2 pounds of veggies, 4 fruits...so much chewing! Bright side is I do NOT feel deprived...and amazingly have not craved any breads/sweets like I usually did when following lo-carb diets. Once I get all the veggies down I'm so stuffed! And the sensation lasts a long time so I honestly haven't felt like snacking.
I have 2-3 fruits for breakfast, 1 giant salad for lunch/dinner. I have to add 1 cup beans today as I forgot about them yesterday. Oh, and I bought flaxseed and b12 supplements. Took 1 tbsp of flaxseed in lunch salad today and 1 b12 sublingual.
