Hmmm... About me. I am 34, married (14 years) and have a 14-year-old son. Honestly, I am tired of worrying about fitting in places, airplane seats, movie seats, amusement park rides... I am tired. No energy. I worry about what I will eat next far more often then I worry about anything else. Let's bring this ride to a stop, get off and find something more fun to do- shall we?

Travel is a passion of mine. With some hard work, good effort and attitude this might just work and before you know it I will be on an airplane flying to somewhere exotic and fitting in the seats! :)

Have you lost weight on Atkins without exercise?
I have lost 16 pounds since early feb, my start weight is from the day I started with FS not the day I started cutting back carbs. I have started little things like parking further away from the door at school and work. I have taken a few walks around my neighborhood but nothing major. I think as the weight falls off I will get more and more into exercise. The book says you can do the program with or without and expect to loose weight, I am sure you would if you didn't exercise at all. But why get more mobile with less weight hanging from your bones and sit around? Smile I want to be out there enjoying my life!

Health.com Article "why carbs help you lose weight" makes me feel conflicted
I think the carb world is scared! Shaking in their boots! BUT I love the photo of the man, the dog and the cat looking into the fridge! Smile HAHAHA
For me the proof of this eating plan is in the data! My blood sugar went WAY down, still going down, better than on meds. Also, I have lost a fair amount of weight in only 3 weeks. Lastly, and most important to me as a carb addict, my hunger has diminished. It used to yell and scream at me all day! Now it's a small whimper and only when I am really hungry!
I bet there are plenty of people that can eat that way but I am not one of them. Darn shame, I love CARBS.

Pixie I had all my jewelry resized after loosing a good bit of weight once. Gained it back and just put the jewelry in the box... Sad It's a good idea to wait. I actually read to wait a year after you loose a substantial amount to make sure you don't gain it back, but I am impatient and like to wear my wedding band!
