One week, one 1kg... My body still seems to work on low. Very annoying since I really try to cut down on calories, eat mainly good food, and have only little greasy food. Of course I move more too, I guess it will take more time.
Hate to be so unpatient, but want my old body back!!!

Did homework, much research on healthy eating. I guess vegetarians have an advantage already, I can't just go to a fast-food chain and order a hamburger.... Anyway, learned that need to cut down on carbs, eat much more vegetables and less fruits (sugars), and very difficult -start to cook. The healthiest food is still the one that you cook yourself and you know what you put in there (avoiding artificial colors, E-s, etc)
My personal trainer friend advised me that instead of cardio I should start lifting weights and build muscles so I can get slimmer but burn more calories (just look at Madonna - 50 and damn hot). Need further reaseach on this.

Stopped smoking 8 weeks ago, after 12 years of heavy smoking. I did the cold turkey, so far so good, however, I started to gain weight. I researched properly, and it says everywhere that gaining weight is "normal" and one should just accept it, do some sport and after "approx. 3(!) years my body will finally reach its normal weight again. So, the reward for stopping smoking is so far that I get fat, (never been so big) , feel slow, without energy, and sleepy all the time. And before you start; I'm vegetarian since years, have a healthy diet, eat balanced, and do work out, and move a lot (over 10.000 steps a day-counting all the time). I really CAN NOT accept that getting smoke free means gaining weight, so I'll try with counting calories and changing my diet (again) to balancing it out. Stopping smoking is hard enough.. Now I have to change my whole eating habits again in order not to look like a stranded whale or Bridget Jones..
Let the fun begin!
