This week I made a conscious effort to eat better (except the day I ate my feelings). I even started stretching/Pilates/yoga again. I'm recommitting myself to getting to my first goal. I've readjusted that so it's more achievable. I can do this!

Well, if all goes according to plan, this is the last weigh in with just me. Thursday afternoon is embie transfer day. KMFX at least one of the two thaws well and then hangs on tight! While I haven't gotten my weight down to something I'm entirely comfortable with, it wasn't for lack of trying. My game plan right now is to try to eat cleaner and keep stretching and not let the number on the scale mess with my mind. This is slowly hitting me that I'll be growing another little bean, possibly 2, and it's excitingly terrifying.

So right after I started at my current job, a stretching group was started. Nothing special, just 15 minutes to get us out of our chairs and try to keep stiffness from setting in. I participated from Day 1, through pregnancy and after my return. I quit the group, however, when I got suspicious that I was being talked about and felt like I was being ostracized. It was to my detriment, ultimately, in that whatever flexibility I'd gained I lost.
I've restarted my own stretching here in the last weeks. I haven't been consistent though. So to keep me accountable, I'm going to start posting pictures of me attempting to accomplish something I haven't done since late elementary school (probably). I'm going to attempt a proper sit and reach.
Remember doing the fitness challenge in high school? Part of it was sitting and pushing a ruler or eraser while sitting with your legs extended in front of you. I topped out at 5'10" in high school (gained an inch since... dammit...) and could never move the ruler more than an inch or so. I could barely touch the top of my socks. It's been a good 20 years since and I still can't touch my socks.
Here's my attempt last night. It's a bit wonky in I was supporting my phone with my knees, so they're slightly bent, but you get the idea. I have no set timeline for when I "should" be able to touch my ankles, so I'm vaguely saying by the end of the year.
