I havn't been following the South Beach Diet to a T but I have drastically changed my eating habits from what they were and I have seen results...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the second day of my Husband and I doing the South Beach Diet, yesterday went very well alot better than I had hoped. However the cravings, OH MY GOD, the cravings. We had to have alot of will power to avoid the bad foods we would normally turn to instead we followed our Phase one, week one meal plan. I have hope that everyday it will get a little easier. I know it has only been one day but I already feel a difference in my mood and energy level. Oh, and WATER, WATER, WATER you can't drink enough, it was hard not to reach for a soda, we chose water or crystal light instead. Fresca helps just to get that carbonation. More to come later...

My husband and I started the South Beach Diet today and are excited for this new and positive change in our life. I have never shopped for healthy food before, we were stuck in a big rut of eating only highly processed and very unhealthy food. I feel like I have been brainwashed by the media and society into thinking that fast food and fried food or instant food was the best choice for my family and it is not! While it is more time consuming to plan and shop for this "diet" (I hate saying diet this will be a lifestlye)I know it will improve my health, my family's health and the weight loss will be a very good thing for us also. Wish us luck on our journey to freedom.
