I have gained weight and struggled to lose it repeatedly since it was in my mid twenties. In the last 20 years I've got it down but then then seem to drift back up to the low 90s.

I have a powerful incentive to lose weight as I am a diabetic and also need to be in good physical shape because I still work as a part-time drummer playing rock, which places considerable demands on a 65-year-old body.

At my age, I am never going to be able to add loads of new muscle, but I do want to be a lean, strong and wiry old guy and being heavily overweight just doesn't work with that goal. :)
