Believe it or not, this is not my photograph, but one of my beloved dog Mitzi. And of course my name is not Glaun, but Phil and my photo is somewhere else on my Fatsecret page. The name Glaun is my computer Gaming name. For those of you who game, I am most fond of MMRPG games and usually play them multi boxed.

I have been retired for 20 years now. My last job (if you want to call it that, really it was a 5 year extended vacation) was as a ski instructor in Park City UT. I met my current bride there and now live in Carefree AZ. Yes, the life style here is all in the name of our town.

I have three adult children, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

My wife and I live by ourselves (plus critters) and love to travel. I have lived in several countries around the world and have traveled a lot. My primary loves in life are travel, Skiing, Scuba, and Flying. When forced to work, my primary vocation was law.

That is when I joined FS. As you can see, it has been slow and steady for me. 1/2 to 1 pound a week. I figure with my new diet and exercise program I will reach my goal of 193 lbs by December, 2013. (I am 74 inches tall)

So there you have it. I am glad to be in the company of so many who have the same goals as I. Good luck to us and as I read somewhere, "God bless us, everyone".

CALORIES ALLOWED
Google RDI and you can find many RDI (recommended daily intake -calories) sites that have calculators.

Here is a quite accurate one:

IMO the FS calculator mentioned above is too liberal on allowed calories. Your choice though.
Good luck

Not exactly a Tully but I'll bet very close to the Tully grilled cheese.

Here is the Tully address, but I couldn't find a grilled cheese listed

scale
On line, Google either battery or non. I found many for $25 or less. I like the battery best because for me they are easier to read. Both are accurate. As I remember I bought mine thru Amazon. It is an Escali ModelXL 2oo, and it was cheap, accurate, has worked fine for several years.
IMHO don't spend your money on high priced extra features you will never use.
Good Luck

He'..............s Back
Hello to all my old friends and soon to be new ones. After 8 months of no FS, much travel, a bit of sickness and lots of life I made goal.. Knowing this is a very dangerous time for maintaining weight I thought it best to re enter FS, track my calories and get back to the gym.
Glad to be back.

PS For those who have been where I am now, (reached my weight goal), you know it truly is a dangerous time. What I wanted to do was keep on being anonymous, not be around all you nuts that are weight conscious, stop being told to,"eat healthy and to stick with the program". I wanted to eat a grilled 1" thick piece of Spam between two unadorned slices of Wonder Bread (white). (Those of you who like Spam will understand).

Sound like a food addict to you. Yep! So here I am, a safe spot, supporting folks. Feels good.

Amount of calories
Use Mummydees' link for a more accurate RDI. I am male, 185, 6'1" and my RDI is 1850 to maintain weight. I think anything above 2000 is high for most folks.
