Start Weight
246.9 lb
Lost so far: 39.5 lb

Current Weight
207.5 lb
Performance: losing 0.8 lb a week

Goal Weight
202.8 lb
Still to go: 4.6 lb
In my mid-30s I was around 85kg (187lb), which was a good weight for my height (185cm, 6'1"). Then I gave up smoking and my weight increased to 99kg (218lb). I then started running during my lunch hour and going to the gym, which saw my weight stabilise at around 92kg (203lb). I had lost most of the fat but had bulked up through weight training.

In my mid-40s, I heard the term 'patella tendonitis' for the first time. My exercise regime tapered off and finally stopped. Over the next decade my weight increased to around 115kg (254lb).

I decided to tackle my weight problem when I saw unflattering photos of myself at the beach, I ripped a seam on a pair of trousers (I was squatting to retrieve a packet of chips from a vending machine at the time) and my snoring has apparently being getting worse as my weight increased.

My initial goal is to get back to 92kg. I may push on to get to 85kg but I always felt I was too skinny at that weight.

Update: I have now been a member of fatsecret for a little over two years and my weight is yo-yoing between 92kg and 100kg. Mostly due, I believe, to bad eating habits coming back when I relax a little after getting weight back down to 92kg.

US site vs Australian site
Good morning, I've been a member of the US site (fatsecret.com) for two years now. I found the Australian site (fatsecret.com.au) this morning and my logon from the US site works here. What are the advantages/disadvantages of using the US or AU site?

95% of my activity is using the android app to record weigh-ins, breakfast, lunch and snacks (dinner does unrecorded mostly). I haven't participated in many challenges and I don't participate in the forums very often.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?

For me personally, I need to see that number every day to keep motivated and for accountability.

Same here. Otherwise I'm afraid I'll slip back into bad habits - like frequent visits to the vending machine at work to buy my favourite snacks.
