I am a 25 year old Traffic Control Room Operator. I work shift work, spending 12 hours sitting in front off a computer at a time. I am 194cm talls and a larger build but ever since I can remember i have been overweight and it seems to have only gotten worse. I have started many diets and never gone on to continue. I have always put the weight back on plus more. I have currently tipped the scales at 150kg and started to find my joints (knees and ankles) are struggling day to day life. It is about time i did soemthing and lost all this excess fat from my body. I know i can start it well but hope that i can go all the way this time and get under 100kg's. What is different this time is that i have made it so public to my family and friends that i have the support of so many people to help me on my way. My weaknesses are lollies and Hot Chips, but I have never had an issue with eating Fruit and Veg.

Thanks guys a great help and good to have the support. I might think about getting an exercise bike for the time being and go from there. I wish I had a pool close that was easy to go to on a regular basic. Being a Shift Worker makes things very hard at times... My mums side of the family has a thyroid condition genetically so maybe I should look into being tested for that as well..

i really wish they would hurry up and make maryjane legal
I was an everyday smoke of the past 5 years and kept a Full Time job and have to say that it saved my life from a bad case of Depression, I will only smoke it once every now and then as I enjoy it. I did have an issue with Munchies but you just have to be strong and realise its all a mental thing and you don't really need that chocolate bar. I am in Australia and it is not legal in any way here but feel it should be. So many people do it illegaly so whay not stop the crime by making it legal. At the same time the government could take some money from it to help research medical issues that are killing people everyday or with the GFC... IMO drinking is worse for you in the long and short term

I am not exercising just yet as I am too scared I am going to cause further damage to my body (my weight has "killed" my knees) I was just looking for a kick start so i can take the pressure off my knees and start getting Physical...
