After raising an active family, I find myself more bored and not so active. It's not that I don't have anything to do. I have plenty of stuff to do. I just don't see any great importance of doing it anymore. I am 62 years old, 5'9" tall with a large frame.
I've always had somewhat of a weight problem; been on many diets only to have my weight go up and down like a yo-yo. I've pondered many times in search for a good reason why I have such a problem. I discovered that the blame game never ends. Pity parties occur too often and taking responsibility for my own health is like playing cat and mice. I want it. I know it will be good for me. I can get a hold of it momentarily only to lose it again.
Electronic devices with all their different apps are still a little foreign to me. I think I will love and benefit from this site as I become more familiar with it.
UPDATE: I love FS. I had been trying to keep up with calories and proteins through research and then wrote the data onto my calendar/notebook based on the foods I ate. FS is so much easier. The big bonus is that I learn from my fellow members who share recipes, tips, suggestions and progress. Thank you all!
UPDATE: It has been a year since I found FS and truly began my journey to a healthier lifestyle of eating. I've learned a lot about myself and my relationship with food. I'm learning what works for me, personally. I am unique in every way and alive again with purpose. Shame and guilt have become a distant blurr. I truly love ME and loving me helps me to relate to others in a much healthier way for me and a more forgiving way toward them. Of course we all know there will always be bumps in the road of life. So, on down the road we go!

Apple Cider Vinegar
I have not known of drinking apple cider vinegar as being a diet. For me it is a health tool to help me keep my body in sync. I drink one, two, three or more 8 to 12 oz glasses of water with 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed in every day. Even if you can tolerate the taste and the burning of the throat, it is strongly advisable that you always dilute the vinegar with at least 8 oz of water. It also seems to help kill my appetite. It softens cellulite. And I have a spray bottle filled with apple cider vinegar in my shower that I spray all over my body and allowed to dry on my skin; it is very good for skin. ACV has many benefits.
