all my life i have been overweight and insecure until about a year ago. i did a bible study with some ladies at church that completely changed my life. we did a study and read a book called, do these jeans make me look fat? by jocelyn hamsher. now, the book was all about how God made us in His image and it taught me to love my body just the way it was, although at that point i was 50 lbs heavier. and the book also talked about how when we are eating whether we are glorifying God by what we are eating since we are His temple. its hard to explain, God opened my eyes BIG TIME!! and im so happy and secure with every lb thats still on my body, im PERFECT in my Fathers sight!! but my lifestyle is healthy now and im trying to be a good example for my family. id recommend reading that book!!

Hi i'm new
im new at this as well but just a few tips on staying on top of the game. #1. suround yourself with people that support you, #2. if you have a bad day, dont call it quits, start fresh the next day. Smile #3. whole wheats, veggies, fruits and lots of protein works for me. actually i eat alittle protein with every meal/5 meals a day, and i excercise 5-6 days a week. i started a healthy lifestyle 4 months ago and have lost a total of 30 lbs so far, its not easy to stay motivated all the time but i feel so much better and that helps me stay motivated. hope this is somewhat of an encouragement!
