That's correct. Fat loss comes down to taking in less calories than your body needs. Focus on protein intake and resistance training to lose more fat and less lean mass which will have a negative impact on your metabolism.

Keto is just a tool some can use to reduce total calories. If you like it and can make it a lifestyle, go for it.

It isn't needed for fat loss so as long as your calories are on point, you're good.
