Starting weight 410 - Goal weight 225. I got this way because my only vice is food. I used food to celebrate, mourn, and punish myself. I was unhappy, I ate. I was happy, I ate. I was sad, I ate. The only way to feel better was to eat. That happiness was short lived and the only way to feel better was to eat. After turning 50 my Dr. told me that what I was putting in my body was killing me and he give me a year to live if I continued this way. I was on multiple medications for high blood pressure, high blood sugar, pain, breathing treatments etc. All this news was alarming, but it didn't stop me from eating. That next week I was introduced to Keto - The selling point was that I still got to eat bacon. A week later I left a high stress job. To date I've lost 41 pounds and I'm not on any medications, all approved by my Dr. For the first time in my life I'm not using food to heal my emotions. I know my journey is not a sprint, rather a marathon. I look at food as fuel - I'm no longer surviving to eat, but eating to survive. I have great support system in my friends, family and a great wife. With them and my new outlook on food and health, I will succeed. My best to all.

Weight Gain?
Hi everyone! I need some advise regarding my mysterious weight gain. I'm been on Keto for the last year and I've lost 80 +/- pounds. I keep my carbs to 20 or less per day. For the last two month I've limited my calories as well. I'm allotted 1600 (per MACRO's), but most of the time I'm right around 1200. During the last two months weight has gone up & down approx. 8 pounds. I'm not sedentary, I walk approx. 2 to 5 miles every day, so-says the Fitbit anyway. My Keto strips read 15 to 40 every day. Sometimes even higher. I'm not lifting, so I'm not building muscle. If you can help, please do so. I'm confused. Thanks everyone.
