Working in an office 5 days week, not really getting enough exercise and having a love for wine and cheese has meant I have been putting on the pounds year by year. I now want to be healthier and happier, therefore I am trying to reduce the cheese and wine and increase the exercise

Got to get serious
Hi, I'm 61 and full time employed in quite a demanding job in a very demanding sector (Education). I've been trying to lose weight all of my adult life but have actually gained. Recently I gained six pounds since 27th April. Over the years I have cut down on just about everything. I rarely eat biscuits or cake. I cut down on the cheese and crackers. Recently I have cut out the wine altogether and still I gain. I have been sticking (when I'm on plan) to a 1200 a day diet for about 30 years. I looks like I have finished my menopause so get to sleep better and I am starting to feel the effects of arthritis in my joints. Part of me would like to give up, but I can't, because whenever I catch a glimpse of myself I am so disappointed at the way that I look (vain I know). I don't have to be thin, just not this fat. Anyway, sorry to waffle. I have started on plan again today and hope to get down to that elusive 9 stone 7 lbs eventually. First target reach 12 stones by September so losing 12 lbs. Any support you can give will be very welcome.
