I actually gave up and gained weight to the point of weighing 154 pounds before learning about the ketogenic diet. Atkins emphasizes protein from meat; that seems to be where I met my plateau. Once I adjusted the protein intakce, the weight began to come off. I have learned to control the weight loss.....go keto when I am ready to lose a few more pounds, do low carb (<50 gm daily), high fat when I want to maintain. Works for me.
Does anyone know how to adjust beginning weight? I should really be 154, not 144.
