I'm a 25 year old male who has been steadily gaining weight (much to my own denial) since about 16 years of age. Prior to that time, I was always rather underweight for my age, and had a metabolism that any junk food lover would kill for. I could eat anything I wanted and not gain a pound. Then one year I get Mono.... then I got it again the following year... since then I've been steadily climbing the weight charts.

I've never cared so much about my own weight and always considered myself to be healthy, but my current job has me running around in a warehouse that's .5 miles across. I go home every night in pain and I often find myself needing an ice pack to treat my knee during the middle of my shift. The final kicker that has prompted me to finally get myself into shape came in September of last year, when I married my wife. Now, I want to get to a healthy weight. I want to start eating right so that I can ensure I'm around and able to enjoy the years that I have with my wife and family.

I've previously joined a gym, but don't go nearly as often as I should. I find that I just don't have the motivation to attend the gym and work out. I don't have time in the mornings before work, and I certainly don't have the energy to do it after getting off of work.

Recently, a friend of mine introduced me to this site, so now here I am; bound and determined to finally take control of my diet, my exercise, and my health.
