Start Weight
276.2 lb
Lost so far: 103.2 lb

Current Weight
173.1 lb
Performance: gaining 1.5 lb a week

Goal Weight
176.4 lb
Still to go: 3.3 lb
I have done this before. 17 Years back I weighed about the same and lost 57kg's over 13 months following a low fat and restricted calorie intake. My BMI was 38 and after my weight loss 18!

Losing weight is easy and simple ... but ... maintaining your weight is the trick! I was only able to maintain my weight for 5 years.

I believe if you are hungry while on a diet you eat the wrong food! No need to go hungry!

I have done it before ... can do it again ... WISH ME LUCK!

Authenticity of calories and macro nutrients data on fat secret
I normally confirm / check the calorie info before I use it the 1st time. If not 100% I'll update or edit it and save it under my "saved meals".

I use the nutritional labels on the food as 1st source and if not I google it. Nutritional information is always at best an estimation. Calorie counters differ by a small margin. Whatever you use .. use it constantly.

Normally the rules are:

Meat - weigh it raw
Veggies - weigh it cooked or the way you are consuming it.

Good luck!

Is 2600cals right for me?
2600 calories sound a bit much to me ...

I am a male weighing 120kg and do 1500 calories a day and even that is sometimes too much for me!

We all love food!
Food is addictive, especially the bad ones!
We need to eat to stay alive!

We humans party on food:
1. Anything we celebrate ... we eat!
2. Birthday ... we eat!
3. Funeral ... we eat!
4. Wedding ... we eat!
5. Etc.

So ... what to do?

1. Take the decision
2. Customise an eating plan to suit you
3. Stick to your eating plan NO MATTER WHAT!
4. Learn to read nutritional labels on food
5. You decide what goes into your mouth ... no one else!

I need advice
What works for someone else do not necessasilary work for you ... we are different individuals with different preferences!

I am a big eater and go for high volume low calorie and low fat food. Meat specifically ... Ostrich steak and mince, skinless chicken, hake, etc.

When I am hungry inbetween meals ... tomatoes, carrots, beetroot and yes ... pickles.

It is very important to:

1. Establish your recommended daily calorie intake to lose weight
2. Stick to it and try to eat it all
3. What you dont eat today your body will miss tomorrow
4. If you are hungry you eat the wrong food ... no need to be hungry
5. There is a difference between being hungry and having cravings
6. A craving only lasts 20 minutes
7. If your body realise you are starving it, it will go into "emergency survival mode" and hold back!
