Worse than I expected this morning. I thought I'd be down a pound. Nope. Stayed the same. I didn't have any seeds last night, but did have a half of a small sweet potato with dinner (Salmon, asparagus, and the aforementioned sweet potato).

This plateau has to be caused by stress, I'm not sure particularly what about more than typical. There also hasn't been much of anything solid "running through," if you get my meaning. So I've added a serving of dried apricots to oatmeal and egg this morning.

I'm actually really excited for this weekend. I am leaving my office in a little over two hours. I need to hit the store on the way home, but I am planning to mow my front yard before packing and going to pick up my son for I've our drive to upstate NY for a Cub Scout camping trip. I've come to terms with if I need to "evacuate," it may not be in the most comfortable of settings. Though from the map, there does seem to be working facilities.

Well, now that you've read all that, you're sure to have a great weekend, right? Just happy I can contribute... :)

Rare non-Friday journal, but I will need to keep tomorrow's short (if at all) because I am only working a half day.

I am picking up my son immediately after school because we are going camping with his Cub Scout pack in upstate New York. I need to pack the car and mow the front yard before we go. I am kicking around the idea of taking the entire day off, but currently planning on being at work until noon.

It has not been a great week by my past standards. I WBNR'ed this morning and estimate that I'll be down maybe a pound by tomorrow morning, but I can't seem to shake the morning bloat that I've had all week. My downward slope has really leveled out, and though I've hit my second marker, I'm still quite a bit off from my ultimate goal. I know, "stay the course. It's bound to slow down the lower we go," and worrying about it only makes it worse (cortisol and everything). Just a bit frustrating.

To make matters worse, my son has a baseball game this evening. I love baseball, but baseball means sunflower seeds. Sunflower seeds means salt. Salt means water retention like you read about (one serving of original seeds has like 2,600mg sodium!?!?!). I was toying with pushing recording my weight to Sunday, but that will give me a potential excuse to get off the train and I don't want to make it harder to get back on. Besides, 2 1/2 days of camp food probably won't make it any better. Just bite the bullet and look for a good drop next week. I will end up willing myself to not have any seeds tonight...

Anyway, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Make it a great day, everyone!!!

Good morning. It's a glorious Friday in Southern New England. My weight is one thing, but later. The sun is shining and the temperature will be above 70 for the first time since Monday!! I suppose if weather is going to be nasty, it might as well be during the work week, but that also meant my son's baseball game was postponed and my drivers' seat was rained on last night during karate training...I had my sunroof tilted up, but that little SNAFU shan't be discussed further...

As as I mentioned in the comments last week, we are headed to Fargo ND and Northern Minnesota in a couple weeks for my nephew's wedding. My wife and youngest son are leaving earlier to catch another wedding and a graduation party. My oldest and I are headed out after his school year ends.

The boys are invited to the wedding and are excited to wear suits. I haven't been required to wear a suit for some time, and the last time I wore one was for a wake nearly two years ago. To make a long story less long, with all the weight I've dropped, I had to have it taken in. The tailor gave me some bitter(but more)sweet news by telling nothing could be done for anything less than it would cost for a new suit.

So there it is. I bought my first set of smaller clothes on my current journey.

I also increased my calories over Memorial Day weekend as planned. I lost some lbs. this week. Beyond that, this also shan't be discussed further, other than saying it will be easier to mind it this weekend.

Have a nice weekend, All.
