I am a 39 year old wife and mother of three with deep southern roots that has tried every diet and gimmick in the book. The only success I've had comes from the ketogenic diet. Everyone is different, but this is the lifestyle that is right for me.

My starting weight was 262lbs (a size 24) on March 13, 2013. In about a year and a half I had lost down to 156lbs (a size 3-4). I fell off the wagon and gained some back. I'm here to get back on track.

Optimal Ketogenic Living
I was once a member of that group. In my opinion, it's more something that someone who does a lot of strength training would benefit from. Higher protein and lower fat makes me crave sweets, but then that's just me.

Do you lift weights
I was REALLY into it last year. I didn't even feel complete if I didn't lift. It had become my favorite hobby! I loved the way it made me feel! I just fell off, and got lazy some how. I think it's because I fell into the "you need carbs" bit, and starting feeling terrible when I started adding carbs. Started gaining fat, and the rest is history. I'm slowly working my way back into it.

Intermittent fasting
I personally do bulletproof IF. Works great for me. I'm never hungry, well not until late afternoon. Smile
