Hi my name is Gayla. I am 36 years old with four amazing children. I have three girls ages 14, 15, and 17 and my son is 19 and active in the Army (currently in Iraq). Any prayers for him and all the troops wherever they are would be greatly appreciated. He just left for Kuwait on January 20th 2007 and is expected to be there for a year.
I like others on here have a weight problem or weight they want to lose. Back in the day I was 155 pounds and wearing a size 8-9 in the waist and I so desperatly need to get back in shape. The 2 liter coke bottle days for me are getting quite old. I won't be happy until I get to my original size (which most people I knew said it was too small for me because of my height) where I thought for once in my life I looked good and I could actually smile at what I saw in the mirror. I didn't have a big ego or frown on people that were thick and I don't think it is right for anyone to do that. There are several reasons why people gain weight....the love of food is one of course, medical reasons, certain medicines, and health problems can cause you to balloon up. My case in fact is a combination of all of them combined. I used to walk daily for miles to keep in shape and since I have fallen, wrecked my ankle and had 3 foot surgeries I can no longer walk long distances to stay fit and healthy. I was also taking prescribed drugs that put on the weight. I also have (heriditary) digenerative bone disease in my back along with a herniated disc in my lower back keeping me from getting on the floor to exercise like before. So, with that in mind I hope that you can wish me luck in my weight loss and I honestly wish you the same.
