A few years ago I somehow clawed my way out of hell (so to speak). Unfortunately, a lingering side effect was a *lot* of extra weight. Extra weight can feel like a prison made out of your own flesh. It's *awful*. Last fall, after a spiritual retreat to Mexico, I found myself with enough clarity to focus on getting rid of it once and for all.

Evidently, there's a science to this. Who knew? Somehow that fact had escaped me. It's a messy science, don't get me wrong. There's plenty of opposing opinions, contradictory evidence, controversy, and "schools of thought" which carry with them an almost religious fervor. But nevertheless, learning and practicing this science has made all the difference for me.

This site has been one of a handful of powerful tools that have helped me enormously toward achieving my goals. I especially like it because I can log almost anything in grams.
