Prediabetic, 61 yrs. old female. Have high cholesterol. Metabolic syndrome. Difficulty doing high impact aerobics due to disc degenerative disease. Love exercising. Need a stationary bike. Love low impact aerobics & yoga, walking in cool weather. Love sweets. Learning to track carbs, sugar & cholesterol. Highest weight was 186. Yikes!!! Current weight 182.

Anyone eating for diabetic reasons?
Hi Yoyonomore68, you’re doing great. Keep it up! I’m making slow progress. I blow it here and there. Today, I ate ahoney wheat loaf from Outback and 1/2 a margarita. But, will get on track tomorrow. I still have cravings I need to say NO to. Changing your food choices is one of the hardest things ever!

Anyone eating for diabetic reasons?
I enjoy steel cut oatmeal too. I toss in a cinnamon stick when cooking. And use unsweetened coconut/almond milk and a handful of blueberries. Learning to make modifications, portion control, no pasta or rice or too many sandwiches or burritos (darn). Using little to no sugar in tea. I do enjoy a tsp. Of organic Agave sweetener that has 5 sweet calories. I’m losing weight by ounces though. That’s better than not losing anything.
