I weighed 68kg when I was 16 and 73kg when I was 20. A year's stay in Pittsburgh, USA, and junk food in 1984 pushed it up to 75kg. I got married and my wife's culinary talents pushed it further up to 77kg. For some odd reason, I crossed the 80kg threshold when my daughter was born in 1991. I lingered around 85kg for almost a decade and have recently started flirting with the psychological threshold I had set for myself at 90kg.

I have type 2 diabetes and am on medication since a few years. Having a specialist advice me was significant in partially controlling my sugar. However, the coaching on diet and fitness has so far, at best, resulted in a yoyo effect. It is my intention to get back under 80kg and to wean myself out of my medication for diabetes.
