I have been doing poorly at sticking to nutrisystem. I have a pile of the food but other things call to me. It's not even really being hungry. It's that I'm stressed out and need something that makes me feel good. Food shouldn't be that but it's a big problem for me.

Had some ice cream yesterday but managed to actually stick to a portion size (half cup) and stayed within my calorie goal. I also drank a ton of water. Today, I have surprisingly not been hungry near as much as I usually am. That makes me pretty happy.
My weigh and win (program in my state that pays each quarter that you lose or maintain a loss if you start out overweight) weigh in needs to be done by the 16th. If I can get down another 2 pounds by then, I'll get my first level payout. That's only $15 but it's a nice little bit of motivation. It will mark 5% down from my initial weigh. I only found the program and signed up at the beginning of April.

Of the last 6 days - 2 perfect, 3 mostly okay, and one day with a vending machine attack. The vending machine attack set me back but it is still progress overall. I'm down another pound since Sunday. 8 days total on nutrisystem and today starts day 9.

A week on Nutrisystem. There seem to be some digestive side effects to the Nutrisystem but maybe my system will get used to it. The food itself is not excellent but it's not awful. I feel pretty neutral about it. I have been promising myself that if I get a chance for an meal out in a nice restaurant, I'm going to take it but I'm not going to give in to equally okay food. I'm not really having cravings for anything in particular.
I'm having trouble getting enough water in but I'm working on it. Hydration is pretty important to weight loss and here in Colorado with the dry climate, it is even more important.
I seem to be feeling less hungry, though it still hits me hard sometimes. Despite the hunger, I haven't really been cranky or hangry. It's just the nagging of an empty belly, not the mood crash herald of a sugar crash. I'm not sleeping well and my energy isn't super high. I have been getting headaches but not migraines. My thoughts seem fairly clear. My mood seesaws from fairly cheerful (for me) to pretty numb but it hasn't gone deep dark (always a risk).
All in all, I think the experiment is going as well as I could expect so on Monday, I am picking up about 5-weeks worth of nutrisystem from someone locally who couldn't stick with the program. She says it's mostly still in the box and I see no reason why it should be a problem. It's shelf stable and individually sealed. Finding space to store it might be a problem but not a major one. If that goes well, I'll probably end up signing up for a subscription with the website.
