I never thought I would get the chance to be a mom. I have PCOS which is Polycyctic Ovarian Syndrome. Thanks to some infertility adventures, and a lot of prayer, we were able to have a healthy girl.

Now, I am a stay-at-home mom of a very active 4-year old. Thanks to my husband, I was able to quit the banking industry of 10 years to raise our little girl.

I have found out that my PCOS is caused by insulin resistance. So diet and exercise play a very important role in my life now. Not only has it caused my infertility, it increases my risk to develop diabetes, ovarian cancer, and heart disease. I have too much to live for now to have those stop me.

Thank goodness for a very supportive husband, family, and the friends here at FatSecret. With their help, I was able to stay focused when it was the hardest, and meet my goal in September 2008. Well, I thought the toughest part was over. in 2009, I "fell off the wagon" due to injury, illness and the depression that came along with gaining weight again.

Getting back into the grove was the best thing that has happened. In March 2010, we discovered that we would be having baby #2. Without fertility! I didn't think that could be possible, but my endocrinologist explained the benefits that diet and exercise could have on this situation. The first trimester was really rough. My hormones were really out of whack and needed constant monitoring and adjusting. But by the second trimester, everything feel into place.

Thank God everything is going well. We are due on November 3, 2010 and my daughter cannot wait to be a big sister. She told me that she prayed not only for snow that February, but for a little brother or sister. God definitely listened.

Love to you all!
Your Pal,
Julie :-)

GOOD GAME DAY SNACKS & MEALS
OK. I finally found a healthy meal for the Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure it will go over well with family and friends.

SMOKY CORN AND BLACK BEAN PIZZA.

Ingredients

1 plum tomato, diced
1 cup canned black beans, rinsed
1 cup fresh corn kernels (about 2 ears)
2 tablespoons cornmeal
1 pound prepared whole-wheat pizza dough
1/3 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella, preferably smoked mozzarella
Directions
Preheat grill to medium.

Combine tomato, beans and corn in a medium bowl. Sprinkle cornmeal onto a large baking sheet. Stretch the dough into about a 12-inch circle and lay it on top of the cornmeal, coating the entire underside of the dough.

Transfer the crust from the baking sheet to the grill. Close the lid and cook until the crust is puffed and lightly browned on the bottom, 4 to 5 minutes.

Using a large spatula, flip the crust. Spread barbecue sauce on it and quickly sprinkle with the tomato mixture and cheese. Close the lid; grill until the cheese is melted and the bottom of the crust is browned, 4 to 5 minutes.

Wish me luck on this one.

GOOD GAME DAY SNACKS & MEALS
Hi everyone. If you are anything like me Sundays are a day of Family, Fun, Football, and FOOD. And when it's not Football season, it's some other sport. Anyway.....With all of the playoffs going on, I really overdid it with the food. And now with the SUPER BOWL coming up I don't want to snack on (or over-snack) mindless junk.

I am looking for anybody who would like to share their good-tasting, good-for-you snacks, drinks or meal ideas for game day fun. Or any party day fun.

Thank you all in advance for helping.

GO STEELERS!!!! (and good luck AZ)

Getting to KNOW YOU, la la la laaa la laaa laaa
Hello All. I live in Houston, Pennsylvania in the USA. (It's really Chartiers Twp. but our mailing address is Houston, PA.) It's about 15 to 20 minutes south of Pittsburgh, PA.

GO STEELERS!!!

My name is Julie and my screen name is really not that original. My last name is Albright and I have always loved the number 7. It was my number (for sports) all through middle shcool, high school, and college. Since there are three of us in our family I used Albright777. My real nickname, that most friends and family here at home call me, is Julz.
