what has been your most successful dieting strategy
thank you every one

I am taking from this the bits I like

I will eat dairy as I dont have any problems with it and as I dont eat meat it is a valuable source of protein - I am going to up my protein and cut the carbs macros wont be a problem but I will have to keep an eye on micro nutrients so I can make sure I get a good spread

right off to plan my day so far it looks like this

breakfast
protein shake

lunch
eggs florentine

dinner
a plate of veg with some divine cauliflower (basically its a glorified cauliflower cheese)

have to plan in some snacks and I am set to go

I did like the advice about drinking the water based on body weight - I will later today measure it out and see just how much I am supposed to have in a day SmileSmile

what has been your most successful dieting strategy
thanks for all the input and some of you are doing so well - so you are obviously well worth listening too

I have been out for my walk today all 5000 steps of it - I am due a knee replacement and anything more means real problems as I have bone on bone and cant have it replaced until a few further tests are done to make sure I wont be at risk of more clotting

I have been listening to what you all say and I will keep the calories down the protein and vitamins and minerals up - with good quality food - I usually cook everything from scratch so I am hoping just a few more changes to what I have been doing will start the fat melting off
the more weight I can take off the better it will be for the replacement join when I get the go ahead Smile

what has been your most successful dieting strategy
I have been struggling with my weight for some time and finding it hard to shift - I know exercise would help but for the moment walking is all I am allowed and minimal at that (due to health issues)

before I have tried a low carb approach and had some success - then illness struck and the weight came back on

so I am wondering what your most successful dieting strategy is or has been

this is not started to induce any arguing we are all entitled to our own opinion so please be kind to other posters

Free days?
having a day off would not work for me - the temptations are far too great
if an occasion is on the horizon I under eat by 50-100 cals a day for the week or two before and then have that as extra - if I am going to someones for a meal I do the same as I do not know their cooking methods and they most likely use more fat than I do

but try it your way - this is a journey and we all have to see what works for us - we are all different so our paths too will be different
