I used to be an athlete and was in very good shape, now I am a dough-boy. Will be cycling body building (gaining weight) with cutting, it's like a yo-yo diet but on purpose. My last successful cut was 2 years ago, lost 20 lbs. Now I am losing 30, currently on a 20 lbs in 12 weeks challenge. I have budgeted -7000 calories per week, that's a lot. I will be reducing my food intake by mimic fasting for two days per week. The rest will have to come from exercise, which is equal to.

14 hours of walking ( 3.0 miles per hour) or 2 hours per day
5 hours of vigorous swimming or about 40 minutes per day
6.5 hours of biking (12-13 miles per hour) or just under an hour each day
7 hours of intense aerobics class or 7 one-hour classes per week

May have to increase the fasting as that's a ton of exercise.

How Often does everyone weigh themselves?
Same time almost every morning. It helps me see what impacts success. Weight will always fluctuate, after a night of drinking you will weigh in 2 lbs less but it is just dehydration. Other times you will weigh in 2 lbs more after eating slow absorbing proteins (steak night). In the late afternoon you will almost always weigh 2 lbs more. Instantaneous weight is not the indicator of health or good practice, it as a tool to help understand what your body is going through. The important indicator is the long term trend (up or down) and how you look in the mirror. To each their own and good luck to all.
