Hi everyone,

I am looking forward to connecting with some of you as we venture together on this journey of getting to a more healthy weight and trimmer self.

I am 52 years old, a mother of 3 children, my oldest daughter just starting college, middle daughter in high school, and youngest a son in middle school.

About 4 years after my son was born I realized that I was not losing the baby weight and in fact had gained quite a bit more. That was new to me as I had always been able to maintain a healthy weight and not really worry about my eating habits. It took me a while to face the reality and I joined a 6 week health class and lost 15 lbs by changing my eating habits and exercising more. I enjoyed being in a group working toward similar goals and we all benefited from each other's encouragement and success.

Seven years later, I am back up those 15 lbs plus 15 more on top of that. How did that happen? Well, that's a rollercoaster of a story, stress of life, changing jobs, .... you know how it goes.

I do not want to feel sluggish anymore and I do not want to keep gaining weight and inviting health problems so I am committed to losing those 30 lbs and maybe a little more. I am encouraged by some of the weight loss and greater fitness I see going on with folks on this site and am looking forward to connecting with others to share ideas and encouragement.
