I am confused and thought I would reach out to everyone. I have to lose my belly fat and I started on Weight Watchers DVD Belly Busters. My question is, if you are doing AB exercise does that really work the belly. I heard both side, yes AB workouts help and some no they don't because they are working under the fat.

Does anyone have knowledge on losing belly fat? Also, any really good workout DVDs?

I've heard both sides, too, and finally asked my doctor.

She said it's necessary to lose the extra fat, and then work on the toning. I personally do both...cardio (like kickboxing) and crunches, etc. on my exercise ball Smile

I have a great belly blasting DVD by Ellen Barrett called "Flat Belly Workout"

I've always heard "Abs are made in the kitchen." Meaning - you have to eat right to lose the extra fat that might be covering up your abs rather than try to spot train. I mean core workouts are always good like planks and maybe pilates, but if you really want that six pack, look at your diet instead.
