I'm training for the annual 10K held here in town in May. I'll be running a 10K at the end of March in Richmond to test my fitness and training. My long runs are up to 7 miles and I just started doing a tempo run once a week. Cann't wait for longer day light hours so I can run outside instead of on the treadmill.

Training for my first half-marathon, the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini in late April. also running two 5k's, 10k, and a 10 miler before leading up to the mini. Really, need to drop 10-15 before April, just having a hard time sticking to a balance diet on the weekends.

I'm looking at the Gate River Run in Jacksonville in March. It's a 15k, and I'm up to 5k runs right now.

I'm running a the Riverbank 25K in May and hope to be ready for a half marathon March 27th. Maybe I'll keep going and my first full marathon in August?

I'm training for the Frederick (MD) half-Marathon on May 2nd. There are several smaller races that I'm planning between now and then but they keep getting cancelled or postponed due to weather or course conditions. Our area has been slammed by old man winter. I've been running on a treadmill for weeks and can't wait to get back outside!!

Detroit Half-Marathon: October 17, 2010. Currently up to 7 miles for my long runs (as of this morning). Only running 3 days a week right now (1 easy, 1 speed (tempo runs and intervals on alternating weeks), and 1 long) will increase to 4 soon. I use RunningAhead.com to track my workouts and races, PRs, etc. It's free and awesome. You can also map routes, including elevation profiles. I've used other mapping sites (mapmyrun.com, favoriterun.com), but I like this the best. Here are my PRs, which are 4-5 years old, and which I am nowhere close to now. Hopefully I'll be back there again though! Kayty83's PRs

Signed up to walk the Portland Marathon (10-10-2010)... Its my first official marathon, I have been training for a couple of months and have a couple of months to go. I signed on to walk but I intend to run as much as possible. My distance runs are at 10 miles. I am trying to find a couple of local shorter races to get myself primed up for the big day! (I know, Im crazy...running has become a passion...

I'm going to sign up for the Urban Cowtown Half Marathon in Sacramento. It will be my first race! I might sign up for a 10k that is in the middle of September as a training for the half. I strained my hamstring at the beginning of July, so I've been trying to ease back into traning. I've had to slow down quite a bit, which has actually been good for me. I was running to hard on my long runs, and now I can run even longer because I'm going slower.

I just did the Virginia Beach Rock 'n' Roll Half marathon last weekend (in 2:15:01), and I'm trying to pick my next goal. I think I am going to set a mini-goal of running at least one race a month, to make sure that I am staying with it. The R'n'R will likely be my only race for September, in October I will do the Wicked 10K, and... well, November is a long time from now. Smile In November, I will start training with the end goal of running the Shamrock Marathon in March of next year.
